Third round for the badenclassics
In 2009, the second edition of the badenclassics, Offenburg's international 2-stars showjumping event, satisfied riders and spectators by its excellent quality. Offenburg's exhibition center turned out to be an ideal location for an event of such a size and importance: The Baden-Arena with a surface of 6.600 square meters and bleacher places for about 2.000 spectators offers ideal conditions for top-class competition. Practice arena, stables and the 4-stars Mercure Fairground Hotel are within spitting distance. If the weather is not too winterly, the riders have even an outdoor arena at their disposal for practising or just relaxing their horses during the four competition days.
Philipp Weishaupt, member of Ludger Beerbaum's international showjumping stable, resumed during the 2009-event in a few words his impressions of the badenclassics: "This year, I came to Offenburg for the first time and was most surprised. The location offers the competitors best facilities and the event has nothing in common with a 2-stars CSI, but you could also be here at a 4 or 5 stars showjumping event." This was the common opinion among the riders from 16 nations, taking part in the new international competition in the South-West of Germany. Also the badenclassics president Gotthilf Riexinger was very satisfied with the second edition of his new showjumping event: "It could not have been better." Even the number of spectators during the four event days were satisfying with about 4000 visitors.
In a few weeks, the next badenclassics will take place from 4 to 7 February 2010, being again an interesting alternative for all those top-class riders who won't have access to the Bordeaux CSI5*****. For the third time, more than 100 riders and their horses will compete in 20 competitions for a price money of almost 100.000 Euro! Again the best of them, winning the Offenburg Grand-Prix, presented by the SÜDWESTBANK on Sunday afternoon, will go home with a new SMART, sponsored by S & G, with a value of 12.000 €.
An attractive program, an ideal location and the international, but familial flair of a top-class event are the key factors for the successful show concept. The fans like coming to Offenburg, not only for seeing some of the world's best riders performing, but also for enjoying the mixture of show, party and top sport.

This time, there will also be a own competition for the vaulters! In the first years, vaulting was included in the show program. The successful and very spectacular performances made the organizing committee to decided to include vaulting into the official program. Five teams, among them the European vice champions of Malmö/SWE 2009, will fight in two freestyle rounds for a price money amounting to 4.000 Euro! Vaulting at this level is spectacular, graceful and fascinating! Let us entertain you by the world's best vaulting teamsand their dance on a galopping horse - an unforgettable event for enthusing the whole family!
